Keynote Address: The Hospital of the Future — Ambidextrous by Design

When people think about the “hospital of the future,” they often think of facilities with state-of-the-art technology offering a comprehensive set of services in inpatient and ambulatory settings. While essential, these facilities and services are hardly sufficient. In the post-COVID world — amid financial pressures, technological advances and blurring lines between payers, providers and other players in the healthcare space — the hospital of the future extends beyond the traditional.

This keynote will discuss how the hospital of the future will be a range of connected healthcare services that meet people where they are. From ambulatory settings and community engagement to telehealth and the evolving continuum of home care, traditional hospitals will have to be flexible — even ambidextrous in a way — to provide personalized, high-quality care.

Speaker: Rachit Thariani, Chief Administrative Officer, Post-Acute and Home-Based Care Division, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
