Patrice Harris, MD

American Medical Association

Patrice Harris, MD, MA, was elected president–elect of the American Medical Association in June 2018. A psychiatrist from Atlanta, Dr. Harris has diverse experience as a private practicing physician, public health administrator, patient advocate and medical society lobbyist.

Active in organized medicine her entire career, Dr. Harris has served on the board of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), and was an APA delegate to the AMA. She has also been a member of the governing council of the AMA Women Physicians Congress and, testified before, and served on AMA reference committees. She is the first African-American woman to serve as president-elect of the American Medical Association.

Intermountain Healthcare

Rob Allen, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Intermountain Healthcare, was named as one of the top 25 COOs in healthcare by Modern Healthcare for both 2017 and 2018. He’s leading Intermountain’s nationally recognized operational redesign work to connect with patients and healthcare consumers when, where, and how they want to receive care and services—including innovative virtual and telehealth services. He’s collaborating with Intermountain leaders, clinicians, and caregivers to redefine value-based care—improving health and making healthcare more effective, affordable, and accessible. In addition to Rob’s 20-plus years of executive leadership at Intermountain, he’s also held CEO roles at hospitals and health systems in Wyoming, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.

Lois Krahn, MD

Interim Chief Executive Officer

Mayo Clinic Arizona

Lois E. Krahn is a senior physician leader at Mayo Clinic.  She has served on the Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees and Board of Governors since 2012.  As of late 2018 she is serving as the interim CEO of the Mayo Clinic in Arizona site. Dr. Krahn has been a practicing physician at the Mayo Clinic since 1994. She has been in leadership roles for over 20 years starting in Minnesota as the administrative director for the Center of Sleep Medicine as well as program director of the Sleep Medicine Fellowship.  Upon her transfer to Mayo Clinic in Arizona, she served as the department chair of Psychiatry and Psychology and chair of the Personnel Committee.

Scott Nordlund serves as Banner’s chief strategy and growth officer and is a member of the Banner Health senior executive team.  In this role Scott has responsibility for setting the strategic direction for the organization. This includes directing and evaluating all strategic planning activity to ensure Banner is exceeding customer’s expectations for quality outcomes and superior service. He is responsible for merger, acquisition and partnership development, innovation, marketing and consumer engagement as well as key system-wide service line growth activities.  Prior to joining Banner, he served as executive vice president partnership growth and innovation at Select Medical (NYSE: SEM) and was responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives across the organization’s
