Dr. Kaiser is the leading health sciences executive at Temple University. He serves as president and chief executive officer of the Temple University Health System, senior executive vice-president of Health Affairs, and the Lewis Katz Dean of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. Prior to joining Temple University, Dr. Kaiser served as president of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, one of six health-related campuses of the University of Texas. In 2001, was named the John Rhea Barton Professor and chair of the department of surgery as well as Surgeon in Chief for the University of Pennsylvania Health System.

Karen DeSalvo, MD, is professor of Medicine and Population Health at University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School and co-convener of the National Alliance to Impact the Social Determinants of Health. She is a nationally regarded physician executive working at the intersection of medicine, public health, and information technology to improve the health of all people with a focus on catalyzing pragmatic solutions to address all the social determinants of health. Dr. DeSalvo served as National Coordinator for Health Information Technology and Assistant Secretary for Health (Acting) in the Obama Administration. Prior to joining HHS, she was Vice Dean for Community Affairs and Health Policy at Tulane School of Medicine and New Orleans Health Commissioner.

She brings over twenty-five years of experience within the healthcare industry, focused on strategy, activation and execution, management and leadership strategy, quality, compliance, business development, and operations. She has an extensive track record in building successful strategic relationships and helping healthcare leaders solve difficult challenges. Prior to her time with Partners, Helen held a General Management position with GE Healthcare where she was responsible for the delivery of quality services within the Western US region.
